Recently I watched a sermon from a pastor in Washington D.C. One of the things he mentioned really touched my heart. The pastor said, “In order to honor the giver, enjoy the gift.” This really stuck with me, because getting accepted to go on the world race was truly a gift from the Lord! To honor him, there is nothing more I would rather do than to enjoy this gift.

Telling all of you about this amazing opportunity has been a great joy to me. Knowing that I have people to pray and join me on my journey means so much to me. I really appreciate all of your prayers! Due to COVID, there are still some uncertainties of the specific countries that we may get the honor to serve. So the more prayers that I can get for doors to be open in Central/South America and SouthEast Asia would be great!

Fundraising has allowed me to truly step out of my comfort zone. For the majority of the mission trips I have been on in the past (read “Why I want to go on the World Race” for more information), I paid for myself. So asking for donations has been allowing me to put more trust in the Lord and relying on him to provide.

Currently, I raised $3750. I am just in awe of being able to receive this amount so far in the first two months of fundraising! I am so grateful and honored for the people who graciously donated to me. I want to take a moment to say thank you to Sheri, Greg, Christine, Rolisa, Julie, Amelia, Sue, Stacie, my mother, and to the person who donated $1000 anonymously! I greatly appreciate it. To honor all of you who donated to me I want to let you know that I will definitely put your gift to good use on the field! Thank you so much for believing in me and trusting me to do what the Lord is calling me to do! My next fundraising goal is $10,000 by May 2021. If you would like to partner with me financially to reach my goal, please ask the Lord of how much he would like for you to give. Anything helps!

I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity and of course the funds to do it! I just can’t wait to see how the Lord will honor your monetary donations as I love his people with reckless abandoned!
