“God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the call”

I first heard this statement from a guest speaker at one of my church’s conferences. It’s amazing how we don’t have to “earn” our place in order to be called and chosen. No matter who we are, he calls us into His family! He chose us because he loves us! The Lord gives each of us an unique calling/destiny, specifically designed and crafted in such a beautiful way. He gives us access to everything we need in order to complete what he calls us to do! So amazing! Thank you Jesus!

Saying “yes” to the call: On Thursday during training camp, my squad mentor wanted us to sit with the Lord and to give our “yes” to the call for not only the World Race but also to each other on our squad. Once we decided to fully commit, we took turns taking communion with our squad mentor and then celebrated with our squad mates! I waited a long while before I took communion, not because I was doubting to fully commit, but I just couldn’t take my eyes off of my squad mates saying “yes”! Seeing the Holy Spirit touch each person individually as they walked up to the table brought me so much joy! The presence of the Holy Spirit was so glorious in the room! The Holy Spirit kept telling me over and over that this is an amazing squad! I can’t wait to see and hear what the Lord does in all of us as we partner with Him!

Baptisms: During the last night of the camp, we had baptisms! Celebrating my squad mates in this transformative moment was such a delight! They were all made and chosen for such a time as this. The Lord qualified each of their calls as they fully embraced who they are meant to be! As each of them partnered with the Holy Spirit, my heart was so full with love. Hearing their stories and what the Lord is calling each of them to blessed my heart! I know that everyone that got baptized are forever changed with nothing holding them back!!

Worship and prophetic encouragement: Worshipping every single day was my favorite part of training camp! The worship team was very anointed! Thank you worship team for cultivating the presence and stewarding your gifts so well to shift the atmosphere! Every time we worshipped the presence of the Holy Spirit was so thick! As we worshipped, the atmosphere shifted in such a way that freedom, love, and peace penetrated people’s hearts. Words could not even describe what the Lord was doing!

During a couple of the worship sessions, the Holy Spirit highlighted a number of people to me. There was one moment when God highlighted a married couple to me from another squad. I wanted to give prophetic words over the wife during the “Hearing Holy Spirit” activation (see Part 1 for more info), but I ran out of time. So I started giving her words first. It was so cool in letting the Holy Spirit speak through me. God originally just gave me a few words for her -wisdom and powerful voice- then He took it from there. As I shared, God gave me more words for the both of them-that her and her husband would be speaking on platforms that will change the atmosphere and how they will be a great model for married couples in unreached places and that God will give them clarity and direction for next steps. The next day, the wife reached out to me and told me that what I said made a lot of sense to them and was confirmation of the things they are stepping into! Yay God!

Another example was when the Holy Spirit highlighted the boss of the World Race Program Exec. His name is Chris. The Lord highlighted him to me because I kept hearing Chris’ voice as we sang. Then immediately God gave me a word of “men’s ministry” about him. I had a quick conversation with God at that moment because I was like “You’re sure Lord? This is the boss of the World Race Program Exec!” I tried to worship some more, but I was too distracted. For me, being distracted to worship, I knew what I had was from the Lord. So I was like “Ok Lord, I will go”. I started off saying to Chris that God gave me the word “men’s ministry”. Then just like with the married couple, the Lord took it from there. I remember saying “God will give you the resources you need to cultivate that ministry and that you will leave a legacy”. When the Lord takes over, he never ceases to amaze me with what he has for someone. It’s just that good! So cool how the Lord works. After I finished, I asked him if that all made sense and he told me it did! Praise Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit!
